STARRING IN A NEW LOVE STORY WITH LIAM HEMSWORTH LAURA DERN TALKS OF THEIR CONNECTION - AND WHY VULNERABLE WOMEN ARE SUPERHEROES

The beautiful and dramatic scenery of Morocco's Atlas Mountains is the backdrop for Laura Dern's new film Lonely Planet, a love story in which she plays novelist Katherine opposite Liam Hemsworth's private equity hotshot Owen.

And shooting in such a picturesque and isolated region was "incredible", she says.

"It felt so foreign, untamed and new to me another reason I felt so grateful to have this connection with Liam. I held on to him for dear life.

But we had so much fun exploring." In the film, Laura portrays a very different character from Jurassic Park's Ellie Sattler, the role that propelled her to fame in 1993. Yet for Academy Award-winner Laura, 57, Katherine is just as much a heroine.

"It's funny, because I'm often asked about how I go from playing a tough bad-ass woman like Ellie Sattler to something more gentle," she says.
