Leah Wood shares her love of capturing nature in art as she and Jemma Powell open a new show of their work

Since moving to the countryside five years ago, Leah Wood hasn't been short of inspiration for her art.

"I've always appreciated nature, but moving to the countryside has brought a whole new level of appreciation, of gratitude and of this being the most amazing planet ever, if you really take a look at it and look up from your phone," the daughter of the Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood tells HELLO!.

"I spend all my mornings, or all my afternoons, outside with the dogs." However, like any mother of teenagers, Leah - who lives close to her mother, Jo, in Northamptonshire - hasn't found it easy to convince Maggie, 16, and Otis, 11, that they should join her when she immerses herself in the great outdoors.

"I try very hard to get the kids outside, but they're not having it. My eldest will be like: 'OK, it's Mother's Day, I'll come for a walk with you.' So, it's once every year," she says with a laugh.
