IN LONDON FOR THE PREMIERE OF HER NEW FILM BLAKE LIVELY ON WORKING WITH HUSBAND RYAN REYNOLDS ON THE MOVIE-AND WHY YOU SHOULD MARRY YOUR BEST FRIEND

As she stepped on to the red carpet last week, wearing the latest in a myriad of stunning dresses she had showcased that day, Blake Lively opened up to HELLO! about her happy marriage to Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds.

"Honestly, my husband and I are best friends," she told us at the London premiere of her new movie, adding: “Marry your best friend."

The actress was explaining how her partnership with Ryan, with whom she tied the knot in 2012, is nothing like the toxic relationships portrayed in romantic drama It Ends With Us, in which she stars as a young woman in a love triangle.

The film's soundtrack includes music from Blake's best friend Taylor Swift, whose 2020 song My Tears Ricochet plays throughout.

"We had virtually no budget, so there were a lot of favours asked," Blake says. "Taylor is one of those friends who always shows up for you, and I am so grateful to her for how she worked with us.

"I'm really proud of the soundtrack on this movie and Taylor is definitely a big part of that. Her music and lyrics are perfect."

The two stars became friends after meeting at an event in Australia, and the singer is godmother to Blake's children - daughters James, nine, Inez, seven, and Betty, four, as well as 18-month-old son Olin. James even featured on Taylor's song Gorgeous, while all three girls were namechecked in her track Betty.
