Charles & Camilla live separate lives as divorce looms

CRABBY Queen Camilla and cancer-stricken hubby King Charles are leading largely separate lives and teetering on the brink of a blockbuster divorce as they reside over 100 miles apart at different estates, sources say.

According to a tipster, the king and his wife haven't pulled the plug on their 20-year marriage to “keep up appearances” for the sake of the monarchy — and they’re staying together out of duty rather than affection.

“They are putting on a united front in public, especially because Charles is ill, but behind the scenes it’s a very different picture,” a friend confides.

“They are divorced in everything but name.”

Charles, 76, who is receiving care for an undisclosed form of the deadly disease, spends most of his time at Clarence House in London or his beloved Highgrove House in Gloucestershire.

But sources say Camilla, 78, prefers her country retreat Ray Mill House in Wiltshire, which she purchased as a single woman in 1995 following her divorce from Andrew Parker Bowles.

“For Camilla, Ray Mill is much more than just a house,” a family acquaintance explains.
