At IMTEX 2025, Amit Shanbaug of ET Now Machinist spoke with Cosimo Cereda, Sales Director at Marposs, about the company's latest innovations, their presence in emerging markets and plans for the Indian market.

Cosimo Cereda, Sales Director at Marposs, spoke with enthusiasm about the company's latest innovations and their presence in emerging markets. Reflecting on the products showcased this year, Cereda emphasised Marposs's forward-thinking approach to product development. "At Marposs, we are a company that is ahead of development, creating products aligned with new trends and market demands. Electric Vehicles (EVs) and the medical sector are particularly important for us," he said.

Cereda elaborated on some of their recent advancements, such as enhanced control systems for machining. "For example, we've developed the ability to detect when tools will break during machining. It may seem like a simple thing, but it's crucial. Without such systems, you risk producing minutes or even hours of faulty parts, leading to significant costs and equipment damage. Our systems prevent all that— avoiding costs, avoiding problems," he explained.
