India's Quantum Bet - the Dark Horse Who Eats Dark Chocolate

Or the Dark Matter? It's about the Quantum Race's Winning Gap. India could be the unexpected winner in quantum research, innovation and markets as long as we look beyond the QuBit game and fix real issues that still slow down the last lap. The action is happening, albeit invisible, till we see it shine in full glory.

India's Quantum Bet - the Dark Horse Who Eats Dark Chocolate

In Quantum Mechanics, you are bound to come across the word 'entanglement' at some point. In simple terms it means that one particle in an entangled pair can be spatially distant from another in the pair - as far as some light years away- and can still affect, or be affected by, the other particle. While major contenders of quantum race are sweating it out in the top circuits in the Wild West, India is not far ahead in the game too. In fact, major strides happening globally are entangled with the kind and pace of work happening in India. We are watching and being affected by what's happening elsewhere. And vice versa. And not without a reason. This race matters. Because it's a race that can unleash all those markets and use-cases that were not possible with classical computers. We could finally break the computing limits that held us back and find answers for leaps hitherto only dreamt of - specially in new scientific discoveries, drug research, climate simulations, space revolutions and more.

This race is getting bigger and bigger.

QUANTUM-QUANTAS?

McKinsey's estimates projections show that the market size of quantum could be as huge as $45 to $131 billion by 2040. The composite market which entails quantum sensing, quantum communication and quantum computing shows an upper range potential quantum technology market of $173 billion by 2040.
