THE PARIS AIR SHOW 2023
Cruising Heights
|June 2023
Returning after a gap of four years, there is much to expect at this year's Paris Air Show. It will be the greenest, no doubt. There will be plenty of eVTOLS and UAVS on display and, of course, the cutthroat competition to sell more jets
-
This year's Paris Air Show will be a busy one thanks to the high level of exhibition space bookings, according to the show's organizer, the French aviation industry lobby association GIFAS. The show returns after four years with the 2021 edition being cancelled thanks to Covid-19.
So, what will the 54th edition of the Paris Air Show offer? With more orders announced post last year's Farnborough air show than during the event itself, aircraft manufacturers further filled their backlogs and production schedules. The A320neo family is sold out till 2029 and the Boeing MAX till 2028.
Boeing is looking to continue its sales momentum over the past six months. After recovering from the 737 MAX crisis, and delays to the Dreamliner and also to the 777X, Boeing has notched some big orders in recent months like United's huge contract for up to 200 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and 220 from Air India, although Airbus has received its fair share of the Al pie.

India's race to build a new logistics powerhouse
India's air cargo industry is being reshaped by crisis — and opportunity.
