IN today’s world, preparing industry-ready professionals who can contribute meaningfully to society is paramount, innovative and collaborative engagements with the industries are essential. In this context, one institution stands out: the Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE). Founded in 1964 as an autonomous, nonprofit entity, IPE has grown into a leading AICTE-approved, NIRF Ranked and NBA and SAQS accredited management institute, renowned for its exceptional industry integration. This commitment has earned IPE a lot of accolades from both academia and industry.
Six Decades of Student Transformation
IPE has consistently been dedicated to shaping students into global leaders, equipped to contribute effectively to both organisations and society. Recognised as a Centre of Excellence by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR, Ministry of Education, Government of India), IPE embarked on its management education journey in 1981, launching an MBA programme in Public Enterprise management tailored for working professionals. Since then, it has expanded its offerings, introducing a full-time PGDM programme and specialised PGDM programmes in Retail & Marketing, Banking, Insurance & Financial Services, International Business, and Human Resources. Most recently, in 2024, the institute added a PGDM programme in Business Analytics and a Fellow Programme in Management, as shared by S. Sreenivasa Murthy, Director of IPE. “Our intake has now reached approximately 540 students, with a total student body of over 1,100 from across India,” he noted.
