String expands Indian presence with future-ready, Scandinavian furniture
ACE Update Design Sense
|December 2025
"Both PIRA and Museum Series are classic examples of minimalist, Scandinavian design, but timeless and catering to every storage need."
-
In this interaction, Jonas Wetterlöf highlights String Furniture's legacy and its offerings for India. He also shares how the modular nature of the shelves serves as a testament to timeless elegance and circularity.
What products were showcased at Design Mumbai? What are your offerings for India?Design Mumbai was a great platform to showcase our original String shelves, the String System, a storage shelf with a legacy of more than 75 years. Being modular, these shelves are wall-mounted, flexible, and allow you to build as high and wide as desired, accommodating different components like cabinets and extensions. The design elements remain the same today as they were in 1949, which allows an old shelf from the 50s to fit with today's shelf. The materials, expressions, and functions have been changed to meet today's demands.
