Yachting Monthly Celtic Triangle race returns to Falmouth after 41 years

For the first time in over 40 years the Yachting Monthly Triangle Race, now called the Celtic Triangle, returns to its original host port of Falmouth where it all began in 1984.

Expressions of interest in taking part are now being welcomed, with official race entries opening mid-February.

Hosted by the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club (RCYC), the event, held every two years, will see over 40 yachts compete in two classes: solo and double handed. A range of racing vessels from both the Solo Offshore Racing Club (SORC) and the UK Double Handed Offshore Series (UKDHOS) have already expressed interest, including X-Yachts, and J class and Sunfast series yachts.

The final leg of the 600-mile race will also act as qualifier for the Azores and Back race (AZAB) 2027, also hosted by the RCYC.
