Four sailors were rescued off the coast of Norfolk after abandoning their yacht when it ran aground five miles off the coast of Scroby Sands in one of the most 'dramatic' incidents the RNLI lifeboat helm said they had ever seen.

Four sailors rescued from the sea in 'dramatic' incident

An RNLI lifeboat from Great Yarmouth and Gorleston was launched in the early evening of 10 September alongside the independent Caister Inshore Lifeboat and Caister All Weather vessel as well as an HM Coastguard Helicopter from Lydd, Kent.
