I don't quite know what the official record for the most horsepower gathered at one place in India is, but if I were to hazard a guess, I'd say Launch Control India is very likely the reigning champion. Now in its eighth edition, Launch Control has grown into the country's largest supercar and sportscar meet, and without doubt the go-to event for hardcore enthusiasts who actually drive their high-performance machines the way they're meant to be driven. Why, you ask? Because it's arguably the only car meet in the country where you can push your thoroughbred to its absolute limits - drifting, drag racing, or hammering around the Buddh International Circuit for hot laps, Launch Control has all the bases covered.

SUPERCAR FRENZY

autoX has participated in several Launch Control editions over the years, but for some reason or the other, I've always managed to miss them.

This year, I wasn't going to make the same mistake! And with the mighty Audi RS Q8 Performance - fresh off winning the 'Best of 2025' Performance Car of the Year at the autoX Awards - at my disposal, I had even more motivation to not skip the event.
