Through his vast and expansive career, Ashish Gupta has held a broad range of leadership roles including steering the strategy, sales, marketing, dealer network and aftersales functions, across brands. In 2025 Ashish assumed responsibility as Brand Director, Skoda Auto India. The Indian market remains one of the most important ones for Skoda Auto outside Europe, and he will focus on building a strong, future-ready brand with strength of purpose and clarity of vision.
On the service front, what is your plan?
Well, I was actually a bit surprised when I looked at the data on how customers perceive our service. If you compare us with other brands, our service costs are similar, our processes are similar - yet, the perception is where we seem to be falling short.
