How do you see the pace of Industry 4.0 adoption in India compared to global markets, and what unique challenges or opportunities stand out here?

India's Industry 4.0 story is unfolding differently from that of more mature economies. In Europe and North America, adoption has been more uniform, driven by decades of established processes and regulatory pressures. In India, the picture is more uneven. Large players in sectors like automotive, pharmaceuticals, and heavy machinery are already well into advanced digitalisation, while SMEs are just beginning. Yet, this unevenness is also India's strength, enabling many to leapfrog older systems and move directly into connected, digital-first models. With integration, digital threads, and government initiatives, India can compress years of digital evolution into a much shorter cycle.

How are Indian SMEs responding to transformation digital compared to large enterprises? Do you see a different set of needs and adoption behaviours?
