UK-BOUND LEPAS CRUCIAL TO CHERY'S EXPANSION

JAECOO AND OMODA parent Chery is gearing up to launch its third brand in the UK, called Lepas and it hopes this threepronged approach will help it conquer the market.

Launched globally in April, Lepas will offer an SUV line-up based on the same TIX platform as its sibling Chery brands. This means electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants.

Lepas (a portmanteau of leopard and passion) will take the smaller SUVS from Chery's Tiggo range, tighten the curved look, add a new cat-eye lighting signature and aim the brand at "modern families".
