A design patent for the Yep electric SUV has just been filed, which further cements the likelihood of an Indian-launch. Anagh Bhaskar writes in detail about the new EV SUV from MG

MG’s plan to expand its India portfolio has taken another step as the company has just filed a design patent for the Yep electric SUV. The Baojun Yep was recently launched for the Chinese market and comes under the Baojun brand, part of the SAIC, General Motors and Wuling joint venture. In India it will be sold under the MG brand, similar to how the Wuling Air is rebranded as the MG Comet for sale here, but is likely to carry a different nameplate.
