Citroen's smallest offering has been updated and wants to be called the C3 X. We check out what these changes mean

Citroen has not really had any fun times since the brand's entry in India, and that can be in part attributed to the brand identity itself.

But more than that, their products haven't ticked because they weren't at par when it came to the overall package, and the Indian customer is demanding. So the 2.0 has introduced improvements, and one of the updates is the C3, which is now called the C3 X, as a model extension, starting from the Shine trim.

Now visually, the C3 X cannot be distinguished from the standard C3, except the large X on the tailgate, but now you get full LED lighting and this is a welcome upgrade. The uniqueness of the design is still there, the double-chevrons on the grille that extend into the signature lighting is one of the most distinct in the segment. The shape and size of the C3 X helps it not only being a sizable hatch, but also to go up against some of the smaller sub-4m SUVs.
