New look and tech for Kia Niro

THE facelifted Kia Niro has been revealed, sporting a sleek new look and a refreshed cabin that has the firm's latest infotainment setup.

Most of the design changes are up front. The silver trim that wrapped around the nose has been replaced by a slim interpretation of Kia's signature Tiger Nose grille flanked by a new set of taller headlights that incorporate the 'Starmap' design found on all Kias.

The plastic on the bumpers, doors and wheelarch cladding appears to have a gloss-black finish now, plus there is a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels. The artificial skid plates that give the Niro a slightly rugged SUV-like look are still fitted, though.

The taillights are a little smaller and thinner, and now have a smoky finish, while the rear bumper has been revamped and a brake light has been incorporated into the roof spoiler.
