GEN ALPHA IS RETHINKING AUTOMOTIVE

|January 2025
The practical science orientation at schools has helped build a student pool that is more in sync with the real world. The bunch of Gen Alpha is rethinking automotive application, writes Ashish Bhatia.
Even as the world is ready to welcome Gen Beta, let's not shift our focus from Gen Alpha as yet. Born between the early 2010s and mid-2020, Gen Alpha is the first generation of the 21st century and is known for its affinity to technology. They are in tune with the rapidly evolving automotive industry driven by sustainability, smart technology, and efficiency courtesy of students at the school level increasingly engaging in real-world problem-solving projects. The recent 'Atulya Bharat' or Incredible India fair at a leading suburban school in Mumbai - The Bhaktivedanta Swami Mission School was a testimony of Gen Alpha thinking out of the box yet showcasing a grasp over fundamentals. The fair an initiative to engage students across culture, math, science robotics, and history gave a sense of how school education is no longer limited to theoretical knowledge; they incorporate practical demonstrations, hands-on tools, and innovative approaches to rethinking world applications like automotive. Students of Bhaktivedanta explored ways to align their school projects with industry demands, from agricultural implements, transportation, healthcare mobility, infrastructure development, and deploying Artificial Intelligence (AI). Schools, in collaboration with industry partners, are now fostering a culture of innovation that prepares students for the challenges of tomorrow's mobility ecosystem.
