When Jesmina Zeliang noticed that Naga textiles, despite being widely appreciated, offered little beyond traditional shawls and sarongs for outside markets, she saw an opportunity that would eventually revolutionise handloom from Northeast India. What began as a simple conversation with a neighbour in 1993 has grown into a movement that has brought global recognition to one of the world's most ancient forms of weaving.
