A test of grit & character, hostels are every student's first 'home away from home'. It's a space where these young minds form lifelong friendships over late night conversations, shared fun, and a place where they don’t just rest between lectures but wrestle with their identities and prospects. For students, the hostel’s architecture and design are more than just brick, mortar, and four walls. The blueprint and layout become their silent behind-the-scenes mentor—shaping growth, mental health, and ambitions. Taking this into consideration, the Student Accommodation and Incubation Centre at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida, designed by team3, is a fitting example of how thoughtfully designed spaces surpass functionality to promote holistic growth. Completed in April 2025 by principal architects Vijay Dahiya and Shubhra Dahiya, the Student Accommodation and Incubation Centre is spread across 18,000 sq ft where 70 MBA students don’t just live but evolve. “Brick is the memory of Indian campuses,” says Shubhra. “We didn’t want to mimic it; we wanted to remix it.”
