Over the years of our involvement in the alpaca industry shearing has always been something of a “spectre at the feast” on the yearly calendar of events. However, it is fair to say that of late things have changed and shearing is an almost (almost!) enjoyable and zen like experience. So, as we cross the 2025 shearing off the jobs list, we can honestly say it went without a hitch. Even mother nature played ball and for the first time in a long time the skies were blue, and the sun was shining brightly with the thermostat even making it to a toasty 27 degrees ona couple of the days.
