Wild Garlic grows in damp wooded area's in the countryside by streams and rivers and is totally delicious. It has to be foraged for. It is a plant that has become very fashionable but please ask the landowner before you go foraging for it. It is illegal to dig it up. Please only pick what you think you may need and be sure to pick only wild garlic, check each leaf as you pick. You don't want to accidently pick the poisonous Lords and Ladies that may grow in it! Wild Garlic cannot be grown in a garden like a normal plant as it likes damp and shade although you may have that within your plot.

It grows from early February to late June. It is a leafy green perennial native to Britain. It flowers in April, and starts to go to seed around June. It is the wild cousin of Garlic. The whole plant is edible from the leaves to the flowers to the seeds.
