It may not make you play faster but picking up this carbon fiber slab and a sliver of maple is bound to expose your inner F1 driver

$4 000 (R61 150) / rubato.guitars
From the moment you unleash this guitar from its custom-made aluminum flight case, a desire to live up to the speed of Dewis Hamilton will overcome you. It’s made from the same stuff as F1 cars.
A sense of pride may also fill your heart. A father-and-son team from Johannesburg are the creators of this seamless carbon-fiber monocoque ax – in other words, the body and neck are one. This means no truss rod, virtually no bend in the neck, and no warping caused by environmental factors. If you slam it into a stage, that’s on you.
The Rubato is incredibly light and remarkably thin. At just 2.5kg you’ll easily play it for hours (while jumping around the stage – if that’s your thing) without fatigue setting in. Should you choose to sit dabbling in the blues, you’ll find it well balanced for its weight.
