Chennai Super Kings scored a superb 191/4 at the Wankhede in Mumbai to earn a commendable performance against Royal Challengers Bangalore, who could only manage 122/9 in the end. CSK won match number 19 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season and moved top of the table, sealing a fourth successive win. Meanwhile, RCB suffered their first loss and slipped to second place. Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja packed a powerful punch with bat and ball to help CSK win. Batting first, CSK were off to a strong start and the openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis added 74 for the first wicket. The RCB came back and reduced CSK to 111/3. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja stunned RCB by smashing Harshal Patel in the 20th over. He scored 36 runs in that over to help CSK get to 191. RCB were off to a decent start before CSK hit back as they kept taking wickets. Jadeja was exceptional with the ball as well, taking figures of 3/13.
