Wiggins Left In Limbo By Inconclusive UK Anti-doping Report

MP says 2012 Tour winner has been ‘let down’

Bradley Wiggins was let down by poor record-keeping at British Cycling and Team Sky, said Damian Collins MP, following the release of UK Anti- Doping’s inconclusive report last week.

Collins, who chaired the parliamentary select committee which questioned Dave Brailsford and Shane Sutton said: “He [Wiggins] has in many ways been let down, because this whole affair has hung over him, and the reason it has done so is because the proper records weren’t kept. If they were there and were accessible it would have been easy to demonstrate that fluimucil is what was in the package, and there wouldn’t have been a case to answer.”

UKAD’s investigation summary said: 

“UKAD has been unable to definitively confirm the contents of the package. The significant likelihood is that it is now impossible to do so.”
