Tom Pidcock Takes Second At Koppenbergcross

Tom Pidcock finished second in the Koppenbergcross, 31 seconds behind rival and early-season wonder Eli Iserbyt, who took his seventh win of the season at the opening round of the DVV Trofee.

Pidcock spent much of the first lap of the Belgian race making up ground that he had lost on the first ascent of the Koppenberg after being crowded out at the start.

Having regained his position, 20-year-old Pidcock kept up a solo chase for much of the race, keeping within a minute of Iserbyt while also staying ahead of chasers Michael Vanthourenhout (Pauwels Sauzen-Bingoal) and Belgian champion Toon Aerts (Telenet Baloise Lions).
