Biggest win yet for PMRR man in classic Yorkshire time trial
In just his fourth season of cycling, Hayden Allen picked up his most iconic time trial win yet on Sunday, taking victory in the Circuit of Ingleborough in North Yorkshire.
The former basketball player only got involved in the sport to prepare for a cycling trip across Europe with his university housemates.
After completing the trip, Allen caught the cycling bug and won the British University Road Race title in 2018 on his way to gaining his first-category racing licence.
The Leeds student was left disappointed last season after the Circuit of Ingleborough was cancelled due to snow and water on the course.
