Desiring success? How should your thinking be?

Overwhelmed with despair and despondency, seething in anger, which was seemingly evident on her face and in her gait, she barged into the house and slammed the door behind her. She then screamed at the top of her voice, “Mom, all my hard work is worth nothing. I have slogged for days and couldn't remember even a thing in the exam. I knew this would happen.”

Being a mother to this child for more than 18 years, she knew the problem. It had been happening over and over again where her daughter was concerned. She gave the child a pacifying hug to comfort her.

Later at an opportune moment this mom told her, “It happened because you knew it would happen. You processed it in your mind...”
