Johnson: Inject Me With Covid On Live TV

BORIS Johnson offered to be injected with Covid-19 live on TV to ease public fears, a senior aide told the inquiry into the pandemic.

The then-Prime Minister later said he would rather “let the bodies pile high” than impose a second national lockdown, according to the former chief of staff Lord Edward Udny-Lister.

He added that Mr Johnson’s bizarre offer had been early in the pandemic “when Covid was not seen as the serious disease it subsequently became”.
