Pearce backs Trident community scheme

ENGLAND legend Stuart Pearce believes the Trident Leagues’ new Community Foundation will make “a big difference” to community football clubs playing at Steps 3 and 4.

Pearce, who recently returned to his Non-League roots as the official Pitching In Ambassador, has given his backing to the scheme which will help fund community-based projects for the 228 football clubs across the Isthmian, Northern Premier and Southern Leagues.

“Pitching In”, the new grassroots sport investment programme launched by the Entain Foundation, is the founding partner of the Trident Community Foundation (TCF) and has donated £150,000 to establish the fund for distribution over the rest of the 2020-21 season.

The Trident Community Foundation’s aim is to support, develop and improve the delivery of community programmes at the football clubs and help fund small and medium-sized projects up and down the country.
