Shrivvy battle hard but slip to defeat
UNBEATEN leaders West-fields boosted their title challenge with a hard-fought 3-1 victory at third-placed Shrivenham.
Tom Ballard scored for the hosts in the first minute only to be ruled offside. Kane Kahaki gave the visitors the lead in the 40th minute and Richard Greaves added a second just two minutes later with a close-range finish after superb work by Cameron Peters.
Shrivenham were awarded a penalty in the 52nd minute after the visitors’ keeper Joe Gorman fouled Antonio Gerrish, but Nick Stanley’s spot-kick was saved.
