Leyton Orient and BorehamWood played out a goal-less draw at Brisbane Road, but it could have been so different had referee Samuel Allison not ruled out a late goal for the O’s.

Justin: Ref Made The Wrong Call

Macauley Bonne slotted home in the 82nd minute after away goalkeeper Grant Smith had been closed down well by substitute David Mooney and lost possession.

Referee Allison decided Mooney had fouled the Wood custodian, but Orient boss Justin Edinburgh disagreed having also felt aggrieved when Bondz N’Gala saw red in the fourth minute of the O’s last home match on December 30 in a 1-0 loss to Bromley.

He said: “I am fortunate enough to view it again, which the referee isn’t able to do at the time, and once he views it again he will be disappointed he has disallowed the goal.

“It is another missed opportunity and a key decision which has gone against us here at Brisbane Road.”

Boreham Wood boss Luke Garrard echoed the sentiments of Edinburgh, but if Orient had taken all three points it would have been unjust.
