ONCE UPON A TIME...

THERE WAS A MERCHANT WHO KEPT PILING BALES OF HAY ON HIS CAMEL'S BACK. HE KNEW HE WAS GOING OVERBOARD BUT THE CAMEL KEPT TOLERATING THE LOAD. THE CAMEL WAITED PATIENTLY TILL ALL THE BALES WERE UP EVEN THOUGH IT WAS TOO MUCH TO BEAR. THAT'S WHEN THE MERCHANT SAW A PIECE OF STRAW LYING ON THE GROUND AND THOUGHT, "WHAT'S ONE MORE?" AND HE PLACED THE PIECE OF STRAW ON TOP OF THE BALES, WHICH AS WE KNOW IS THE PROVERBIAL FINAL STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMEL'S BACK!

UNFORTUNATELY, the world of online dating is replete with terrible experiences that it is easy to reach such a breaking point, especially if you are a woman.

Ask a man about his worst experience on dating apps and the most likely answer will be expectations of marriage proposals. Now juxtapose that against creepy, lewd, downright abusive messages that women get before even saying, “Hi”.

Some men also crib about solicitation. It is a common issue, but it is tough to sympathise when all they need to do to make it go away, is simply unmatch, or block, or stop right swiping bios of women decades their junior! And it’s nothing to speak of compared to being stalked on social media platforms and in the physical world. And remember some of the stalkers are those who they haven’t even right swiped let alone matched!
