TREATMENT: DIGITAL SMILE DESIGN 

If there's one beauty appointment to schedule in the months before your wedding it's with Dr. Sofia Aravopoulou. Not only is she a member of the World Federation of Lasers in Dentistry and the International Society of Laser Dentistry, she is one of the only dentists in Dubai to hold a Master of Science in Lasers in Dentistry, and is fast becoming the region’s go-to for consistently creating exquisite smiles.

Using Digital Smile Design technology, Sofia is pushing boundaries in creating the most natural of smiles in porcelain veneers. Whether you're after a new set of pearly whites, or hoping to correct a broken or out of place tooth, Sofia will design and create a bespoke smile just for you.

THE LOWDOWN 

During the first consultation Sofia will have a general chat to understand your wishes and expectations. She will then take photographs of your teeth and profile for creating casts of the current state, taking into consideration the anatomy of your face as well as what you are looking to achieve. The virtual images are then transferred to models with wax.

During the second consultation Sofia will discuss the proposed design of the new teeth on the cast. The proposed design will then be tried in the mouth with a provisional model (temporals). Changes can then be discussed and made on the spot.

At the next appointment the teeth are shaved, depending on each individual. The temporals are then fitted and are worn for approximately a week and during this time you will be able to decide on any further changes to be made to the final veneers.
