THAT’S it then, ‘Champions again as you know’ and seeing the SPFL trophy, or any trophy for that matter, being raised aloft while wrapped in green and white ribbons is something I will never, ever tire of – no matter how many times in a row we win it.
-

The road to the title triumph may not have had the panache or the sparkling expectation of the Invincibles’ march to glory last season, but they know what we are up to now and that made this championship win all the more difficult and is therefore probably a greater achievement at the end of the day.
The well-worn path is getting quite familiar now – the League Cup win at the first milestone, followed by securing the title before ending the season in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden – here’s hoping that we have a similar outcome this Saturday when we face Motherwell at the National Stadium in the ultimate game of the 2017/18 campaign.
Hopefully, Scott Brown will be raising another green and white-clad piece of silver and we can get down to celebrating another Scottish Cup win – not only a cup win, and not only a treble – but an unprecedented second successive treble.
I don’t know how many times I’ve keyed in the word ‘unprecedented’ over the past few weeks, but, again, that’s something I’ve not tired of, and if we do the unprecedented thing this weekend, then we can all start the celebrations once more.
