Regan Hendry and his team-mates acquitted themselves well in the UEFA Youth League, and the midfielder believes the experience will be beneficial to their development.

REGAN Hendry is only 19-years-old, but the Development Squad captain plays with a maturity far beyond his years. He is now in the midst of his second season at that level and is aiming to pass on his experience to his younger team-mates while also trying to make a claim for a chance in the first-team.

And the Celtic View caught up with the midfielder in Paris following their 2-0 defeat to PSG in the UEFA Youth League, which means Tommy McIntyre’s squad can’t progress in the tournament.

“We dominated PSG for most of this game and I think that’s been the case in a lot of the UEFA Youth League games,” Hendry said. “The results haven’t really reflected how we’ve played. We can take positives from our performances and that’s what we’ll do. We’ll obviously look at where we went wrong and strengthen those weaknesses in our game.

“We still have one more game to go so we’ll take it into that match and hopefully we’ll get another result against Anderlecht. We’ve shown that we can live up to the standards and play competitively at this level.
