Make the right flooring decision for your home by considering your household needs and habits

Choosing the right material for your flooring is one of the most important decisions you will make during your home renovation. You will come into contact with it every day and so it has to be a surface that not only looks good but also feels good. Some of us like the cool sensation of natural stone, while others may prefer the warmth of hardwood.
More importantly, you need to consider the amount of time and effort you are willing to put in to keep it clean and beautiful. There is no one-size-fits-all answer to choosing a flooring, as it is based on your situation and lifestyle. For households with young children or the elderly, safety and comfort are also factors to bear in mind as you select materials best suited for your home.
TILES
There are generally two types of clay tiles used in the home: porcelain tiles and ceramic tiles. The type of tile that many contractors and designers recommend is homogeneous tiles, which are porcelain tiles whose colour and design are consistent throughout its entire body from top to bottom. This means that even if the tile chips, the colours remain the same.
