Artful furnishings and a peaceful palette are why Reena Sarwar’s busy family home is so serene

filled with whimsical furniture that doubles as pieces of sculpture, this expressive home may have a pale backdrop and areas dedicated to admiring pieces of design, but it’s far from a look-don’t-touch, art gallery style space. With three young children, owner Reena Sarwar has accepted that accidents are bound to happen. ‘The house is everybody’s home,’ she explains. ‘It requires more effort – telling the kids not to eat ice cream on the sofa for instance – but that’s OK and there have been no issues so far.’ Stockholm-based interior designer Nina Kullberg, known for her eye for elegance, also added a practical touch to the home, mixing auction-house finds with high-street accessories and positioning the more precious pieces out of reach of small hands.
