When you have a client as free-spirited as the one Shabnam Gupta had for this project, experimentation becomes key to the space. Armed with a well-chalked-out plan, Shabnam set about refurbishing the top floor of this duplex home for a young couple from a joint family. While the lower floor served as the more formal space, the top floor, with its expansive terrace area, is the more informal one, in tune with its inhabitants.
