“Are those flowers really artificial?” is a question world-renowned florist Astar Young of Prestige Botanicals gets asked over and over again about the flowers she designs for her latest floral-business venture. Astar has been working with flowers, real and faux, for decades, first as the floral designer for the Sultan of Brunei and later, for 18 years, on TV New Zealand’s Good Morning Show. She loved teaching and entertaining others on the TV show, where she taught people how to create their own floral designs and also all about cooking, gardening and fun DIY craft projects.
