Advertising agencies are often seen as the hotbeds of creativity. Having said that, it’s a rarity to find companies where the workspace reflects the fun nature of the work itself. But take a look around the office of Mumbai-based Fork Media — a newage advertising agency that leverages online, mobile and video platforms — and you’ll come back inspired. This new office space, spanning 6,500 sq ft, in the basement of the Art Guild building in Phoenix Market City, Mumbai, resonates with the brand philosophy — young, vibrant, fun, quirky and different — and has been conceptualized by architects Priyal Thakker and Mallika Desai Thakker, the principals at Vibe Design Lab (VDL). The association between the client and the architects began a few months ago, when the bigwigs at Fork Media were introduced to Priyal and Mallika by a common friend. VDL’s design ethos and concept presentation was so impressive that they landed the project within a single meeting — VDL’s purpose of designing is to “create the right vibe.” This belief system has been instrumental in defining the firm’s design philosophy which lays emphasis on creating memorable experiences for their clients.
