Field of Play

Fields Club, designed by Studio Lotus in collaboration with StoryStudio, is a clubhouse created to provide a ‘live, work and play’ experience to Bengaluru’s young working professionals within a suburban residential complex.

Whitefield, located in the heart of Bengaluru is one of the city’s prime technological and economic hubs, and consequently, home to a predominantly young demographic, with a large majority of them working in the burgeoning tech industry. Developers Goyal and Co were keen to create a distinct identity for their new housing project Orchid Whitefield, which would connect with this client base. Thus, they decided to create an exclusive clubhouse, Fields Club, and handed over the design reins to the versatile New Delhi-based Studio Lotus and the talented StoryStudio.

Envisioned as a recreational wing for the residential development underway in Bengaluru, the 15,000 sq ft Fields Club offers a wide mix of amenities to young professionals and their families. The brief was to create a relaxed vibe with a nuanced urbane touch. Thus, the design scheme has been conceptualised to speak to the aspirations of this group, and incorporates a rich visual vocabulary, plush materials, and vibrant artworks.
