Former Miss India, actress and producer, Juhi Chawla, married businessman Jay Mehta in 1995, and in 2001, they had their first child, Jhanvi. Two years down the line, Juhi gave birth to their second child, Arjun. In an easy-breezy chat with us, the gorgeous lady shares her motherhood experiences, memories and personal parenting tips.

How did life change after motherhood?

I totally agree with the saying ‘A mother doesn’t give birth to a child but a child gives birth to a mother’. My life completely changed after my children. Earlier, it was all about me but once my babies were born, I became the last person on my priority list.

It was a feeling I had never experienced before. My kids made me a better person.

Can you share a memorable ‘motherhood experience’ with us?

I remember how I used to be so excited to show my children the animals in the zoo or rainbows in the sky. I would take them to the park and spend hours playing with them. I had never done any of this before but suddenly the small pleasures of life came alive; I re-experienced them with my children.
