Two Diabetes Blogs That You Should Be Reading

Reading up on Diabetes care, sharing stories, and connecting with others who understand the unique issues that we face is an important part of self-care. By connecting and interacting with others via the Diabetes online community, we can share tips, encourage each other and make our Diabetes management regimens better overall.

A blog started by Ashley Ng. She is a Melbourne-based PhD candidate researching in the field of the effects of eHealth on Diabetes self-management behaviours in young adults, an accredited practicing dietician and a Diabetes advocate hoping to create a positive impact within the Diabetes community.

She was misdiagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Further investigations revealed that she had Type 1B Diabetes. Such patients have an insulin deficiency and can experience ketoacidosis (high blood sugar level emergency), but their insulin requirement increases and decreases with time.
