Nothing last forever except the memories that are passed on. For us living in the digital age, memory is perhaps everything that ends up on the internet. Images act as fact, the same way Wikipedia entries provide certain affirmations that things did or may have occurred. You get to live other people's memories as well-taking bits of them to form your own opinion of things, which has supplemented our limited perception of the world through snapshots and written posts of billions.
