Article 19 of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, states that everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; which includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers. (The United Nations, 1948, art.19)
Over time, exceptions have been created, through the media and marketing, based on particular types of speech and context. The subject of censorship becomes incredibly broad and difficult to discuss.
