The COVID-19 pandemic had the whole of 2020 and 2021 turned upside down. As the outbreak hit the globe early last year, almost all countries went under total or partial lockdown. The unprecedented times had people living in abject fear and a large number of businesses going on hold or permanently shutting shop. On the one hand, the virus was spreading and cases kept rising, on the other, the economy was getting impacted in a big way. And the world was struggling to survive both.

One of the hardest blows of this extraordinary crisis situation has been on the salon and beauty industry. With the unpredictable lockdown, spas and salons across the country were forced to keep their shutters down for a very long duration. And that resulted in the industry suffering huge losses.
