Liverpool play rivals Everton in a week of great FA Cup action

FA Cup Third Round

Football fans will be dreaming of Wembley this weekend when the third round of the FA Cup provides the chance for some potential upsets along with two tasty all-Premier League clashes.

Six matches will be broadcast live over Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with BBC1 screening two games and BT Sport showing four. This season, as part of the Heads Up campaign, all 32 fixtures will kick off one minute later than usual to encourage fans to think about looking after their mental health.

Here, we look ahead to the live games…

SATURDAY

Rochdale or Boston United v Newcastle United

BT Sport 1 HD, kick-off 12.31 pm

The Magpies face a tough journey to lower league opposition, with Rochdale and Boston’s second-round replay yet to be played as TV&Satellite Week went to press. Newcastle has a dire recent record in the Cup and Steve Bruce’s side will need to improve their goal-scoring stats with record buy Miguel Almirón struggling to find the net.
