Harry Redknapp tries to get a group of former England players into shape again for a rematch with rivals Germany

NEW REALITY
Harry’s Heroes: Euro Having a Laugh
Mon-Wed, ITV HD, 9pm
After heartbreaking penalty shootout defeats to Germany at Italia 90 and Euro 96, England football fans finally got some revenge in 2019 when Harry Redknapp and his team of ex-England internationals beat a team of former German stars in ITV show Harry’s Heroes.
Out-of-shape players such as Paul Merson, Matt Le Tissier and Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock shed the pounds for the grudge game – only to fall back into bad habits following that glorious night.
So when their German counterparts challenged them to a rematch, Harry realised the lads would have to get in shape again or risk yet another painful defeat at the hands of their old foes.
This three-part series, stripped across three nights this week, follows Harry and his boys as they go into training and face their old rivals. But cutting out the carbs and booze proves as tough as ever, and there are difficult conversations to be had amid the dressing-room banter.
